The Mvintage Reign Collection, with the beautiful Fleur-de-Lis at its core, has welcomed a new jewellery piece to the family – the Resilience Fleur-de-Lis pendant.
The Fleur-de-Lis, which is French for ‘lily flower’ or ‘flower of the iris’ has been widely used in history, including by French kings who used it as an emblem of their sovereignty.
It has been used to symbolise royalty, light, defense, and female virtue, among other things.
Joan of Arc and the Fleur-de-Lis
Joan of Arc, the patron saint of France and its national heroine, is said to have carried a banner depicting God blessing the fleur-de-lis as she led the French army to victory over the English in 1429.
The Resilience Fleur-de-Lis pendant’s stone is hand-cut and polished from natural Tiger Eye – a form of quartz, which makes it a semi-precious stone related to others such as the amethyst, the citrine and the aventurine.
Like the other Fleur-de-Lis pendants that carry a stone – the Pure Love Stone Blush Cateye Fleur-de-Lis and the Perseverance Stone Blue Cateye Fleur-de-Lis – the mesmerising Tiger Eye stone carries a special meaning.
