This is a first for us and we could not be anymore excited! Ben Camille, who is a Maltese personality, host of X-Factor Malta, doting father of two and supportive husband to his strong, remarkable wife Kristina is the face of our new collection. We had the pleasure to have a chat with Ben and get his two cents on a number of issues such as female empowerment and fatherhood.
1. What are your thoughts about Female Empowerment?
As a male entrepreneur how do you perceive it? We might not be born biologically equal but I definitely believe we should all have equal rights and opportunities. Of course I am all for it. I believe women have certain qualities than men can only wish to have.
2. What advice would you give to 18 year old Elle?
Be nice! :). As cliche as it may sound, I do feel that being nice, being a good person, sticking to your values, is not only the right thing to do but also makes you feel better too.
3. How has your world changed once you became a father?
I've always loved children, this just made a dream come true I guess. I love spending time with Elle and George and make sure to dedicate time to that everyday.
4. What motivated you to start your own business?
I actually love working. I am involved in a number of businesses, I love creating and using my network and experience to build something I am proud of and sustainable. I've always been a big believer in being the best at whatever it is you choose to do, and the rest will fall into place on its own.
5. What or who inspires you most in life?
Anyone who is creative and innovative. I have a great admiration for people who are hands-on and practical as well as for people who are able to find the right balance in their life between 'work' and 'play'.
6. Which jewellery pieces do you wear on a daily basis?
My wedding ring (as otherwise I'll be in trouble) and my watch
