As we get close to the end of another year we always look back and treasure the memories we have built during the past 12 months. At the same time, we also stop and think of how others spent their year. Not everyone always gets fantastic years but if we all think of and help one another in our communities, the world would surely be a better place.
At Mvintage we pride into supporting various organisations who dedicate long hours every single week of the year to support others. Here are some of the organisations that Mvintage has supported throughout the year 2017. We encourage you to look into the list below as well as into other fantastic organisations that similarly do great jobs, and support them as best as you can:
1 - ACTION FOR BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION

Action for Breast Cancer Foundation is a Voluntary Organisation that's campaigning for a quality assured service in order to diagnose and treat breast cancer in Malta and Gozo. This initiative includes a screening programme as early detection can lead to more effective treatment and can, therefore, save many more lives.

2 - EUROPA DONNA
The Breast Care Support Group is a member of Europa Donna, the European Breast Cancer Coalition. It was set up to bring about an awareness of breast cancer and breast health in Malta and to support people affected by the disease. Europa Donna is dedicated to helping breast cancer survivors reclaim a positive body image and a healthy lifestyle. It also offers support for family and friends with regular meetings.

3 - Living Abilities Not Disabilities (LAND) GROUP

Members of Living Abilities Not Disabilities (LAND) Group
LAND group (Living Ability Not Disability), which was founded in August 2002 with the aim to promote socialization of youth with a physical disability. This is the only organisation in Malta that caters for such needs. Over the past ten years LAND has proved beneficial to many youths who feel severely restricted due to their disability.

4 - MALTA MEDICAL STUDENTS ASSOCIATION (WORLD AIDS DAY)

A main yearly event organised by The Malta Medical Students Association is World AIDS Day. This event is used to spread awareness and remove the stigma that surrounds HIV and AIDS. Their aim is to educate, eliminate taboo, and commemorate those who have already passed away from this epidemic.

5 - FATIMA HOUSE

Mvintage Founder & Designer Krystle Penza with Sister Eleanor from Fatima House
Fatima house in Sliema is run by Ursoline sisters and provides refuge to young women aged 18-26 who find themselves without shelter. The house offers shelter, support and, most of all, love.

6 - YOUTH REACH MALTA

Members of YouthReach group
The aim of Youth Reach Malta is to create a youth community where youths are encouraged to find their true selves, feel comfortable being themselves and also can grow their relationships with self, others and God.

The mission of FACES is to provide free education, health care and other basic services aimed at providing the quality of life of the most underprivileged people in developing countries.

8 - AGENZIJA APPOGG
The Agenzia Appogg Social Workers that work in the Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre provide moral and social support to children, teenagers, young adults, adults and elderly people undergoing cancer treatment as well as their families. During Christmas time they work extremely hard to provide an environment full of Christmas spirit for these patients who unfortunately cannot enjoy Christmas at home with their families.
