Apart from the seahorse being a magnificent creature of the sea, one that we have always looked at in awe – the symbol of the seahorse was chosen purposely because it fits perfectly into our message. And here’s why.

What does the Seahorse symbolise?

The seahorse is a symbol of power, strength, protection, luck, and good fortune. This sea creature is not the best of swimmers and it moves slowly from one spot to the next. However, what is special about the seahorse is that it holds immense power and persistence in its tail, using it as an anchor in stormy seas, to hold on with all its might. The seahorse might be a tiny sea creature, but its strength is exceptional.

The seahorse is also a creature that engages in a spectacular display of courtship. It is also one of the few species that is said to be monogamous and to mate for life. Swimming side by side and holding tails, seahorses engage in a fascinating ritual of love. Unlike what usually happens in the animal kingdom, male seahorses are the ones who carry the female’s eggs, in their pouch, for about one and half months, until they are born. This speaks of amazing partnership between the male and female seahorse.

The seahorse is a reminder that you are full of power, strength and resilience. Just like the seahorse, learn to hang on to what you want in life, even in stormy seas.
